So what is there to say about the Spectre official movie trailers? Well, what cannot be said about a James Bond film? It is a well established film franchise filled with high-octane espionage action, double crossing, sexy bond "girls" (as I would like to call them, Bond Women), and conspiracies of epic proportion. The iteration of Daniel Craig as 007 has grounded the character more to reality than its last (more recent) predecessors. The official trailers prove for Spectre prove just that.


This time we have the 51 (as of the filming of the film) year old Monica Bellucci and Léa Seydoux as the new Bond Girls or Bond Women in this 007 film iteration; and Christopher Waltz (seemingly) as its main antagonist and head of SPECTRE. The film will definitely be a no-brainer to fans of action, espionage, and James Bond. Although one probably has to check out the previous Daniel Craig Bond title to have better understanding of this film as it picks up right after it. Well, the trailer leaves enough mystery for its fans. What is the SPECTRE's connection to James Bond? Who will betray who? What's this web of conspiracy being implied in the premise and alluded to the trailers?

So what is there to say about Paper Towns? Well I find the premise to be a bit interesting since I am into the Mystery genre. I also have not read or familiar with the John Green novel so I am really clueless as to how this film would unfold. Paper Towns trailer gives off a bit of coming-of-age or self-discovery kind of feel to it. Before you find yourself, you have to lose it...






A film about the mysterious next door girl who have shown interest in the seemingly ordinary protagonist and eventually went missing after the fated crazy night spent with him; then the protagonist went on an adventure to look for her but seemingly the clues are leading to him discovering life. If that is not a formula for a feel good movie, I don't know what is. Hopefully Paper Towns has something for both male and female demographics. I am particularly not that impressed with the slew of young adult adult novels getting adapted to the big screen, but I generally keep an open mind and attitude for them at first; either that is a good thing or not. So far the Paper Towns trailer has piqued some curiosity and will "probably" check it out.

Well except this one is more for the adults than the kids. We don''t want to expose our kids to some adult stuff like greed, sex, and violence. Maybe pick up a thing or two from this film then tell it to them ala toned down bedtime story. Based on our first impressions of The Brass Teapot, we highly recommend you guys to go see it.

The success of Christopher Nolan's Batman film series signaled the creation of an even more serious Hollywood take on Superman's story. Summer of 2013 marks the year when will see the Man of Steel fly again. This new Superman film will be under the wing of the same director who brought us 300 and Watchmen, Zack Snyder with the aid of Christopher Nolan as the man behind the story and producer in bringing Comics' Superman originally by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster back to the big screen.

The Man of Steel will be another origin story of one of the most well-known DC Comics superhero of all time, Superman. The trailer for the Man of Steel film looks very promising besides the fact that Nolan and Snyder will be two well-recognized people working behind this 2013 superhero film. A more compelling origin tale of Superman with amazing visuals and hopefully better story, acting and presentation than what we have been presented before with past Superman television series, animated shows, and past films. With more movie adaptations of some of the bestselling titles under the young adult genre, demon hunters with The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, zombies with Warm Bodies and witches with Beautiful Creatures, 2013 is looking quite nice for young adult market. Well Casters seems to be the right term rather than witches as what Beautiful Creatures 2013's film adaptation refer them to.

I am not really big in the romance so I am not really the best guy to refer these kinds of film, but what I can say is that basing from its trailer it does look quite alright. The special effects for spells looks impressive. Let's just hope that the overall story and performance of the actors would deliver.

Some of the best and unfortunately worst (ahem! Twi...) Hollywood films are based on literary pieces. It is really not a big surprise that Hollywood has shifted its attention to make films based on fantasy and sci-fi books (novels and comic books). They have been doing it in the past decade so why stop now. They are looking for the next big Hollywood blockbuster ala Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games, and yes... even Twilight. This time they take another bestselling fantasy title with City of Bones, a book on The Mortal Instruments sci-fi and fantasy series authored by Cassandra Clare.

This time we follow a female protagonist in another magical world amidst everyone's awareness. A seemingly ordinary girl (a pretty cute one if I may emphasize) is eventually pulled into a war that she has no idea with. The story looks a bit predictable, but how to lead to that end is what we as an audience is looking forward for. To whether other books under The Mortal Instruments can be made into a Hollywood film all depends on the performance of this film. Let's just hope that we have another good fantasy film at our hands. Something that will be appreciated by both male and female film fans, and not just teenage girls.

What we see in the film is a different kind of zombies, the running type. Zombies are already dangerous themselves but when they are at full speed out to get you? Zombies have become its own genre in Hollywood now. The usual theme is horror and comedy, but adding a romantic element to a zombie film is refreshing. This is what Warm Bodies did, which is pretty obscure. Well, the idea of zombies is already pretty over the top concept itself, but dying and becoming a zombie only to gain a second shot at life because of love is even weirder even for zombie standards.

Meet R, a zombie who can barely put words together. The trailer starts off at the point of perspective of a zombie which is also particularly new given that they are pretty much "brain dead" or rather they cease to exist when their brains are blown off. Zombies are pretty much the antagonists in this film, but the budding love between a teenage zombie and a teenage girl may give these warm bodied zombies a second chance in life. The only question is how can they convince living humans to reconsider their miraculous change of heart (and appetite) while another set of zombies of the sinister kind exists. My curiosity is piqued with Warm Bodies, I am just hoping that it doesn't suck as bad as that other romantic movie featuring a human and a more popular horror monster.

If one would watch this film once it gets released on 2013, you have to prepare your mind to be messed with. The second official trailer for 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey', part 1 of Peter Jackson's Hobbit Trilogy. Starring Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins), Ian McKellen (Gandalf) and Richard Armitage (Thorin Oakenshield). A curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug. Also starring Benedict Cumberbatch (The Necromancer), Elijah Wood (Frodo), Hugo Weaving (Elrond), Orlando Bloom (Legolas), Cate Blanchett (Galadriel), Andy Serkis (Gollum) and Christopher Lee (Saruman).

What can we say about the second trailer for the Hobbit 2012 film adaptation that we haven't said in the first trailer impression we did? Now the second trailer has more epic action scenes and now with the well beloved Gollum a.k.a. Smeagol. Well chances are that Gollum wouldn't even be in this first Hobbit film, but what the heck it effectively builds hype and that is not really that bad. Misleading but not bad.

For those who loved and followed the epic adventure of Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings film and book trilogy, this film adaptation is essential to complete what the first film trilogy has started. It is very much welcome for most of us. I am just glad that I haven't read the books so this new Tolkien film adaptation will be fresh to me. Now we have more epic medieval adventure fantasy to look forward for this year and the two year following that with the Hobbit film trilogy. There is nothing left to say about An Unexpected Journey but to just enjoy it this Fall of 2012.

The Iceman first premiered at Venice Film Festival in August 2012 and later at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. There is something fascinating about learning the life of well-known people through biographical films. Some of them inspire, makes us realize, thugs your heart strings, and many more. Then there are those like The Iceman, which is a biopic of a notorious killer.

Although anyone can easily Google or Wikipedia the life of Richard Kuklinski, the Iceman, there is still something special about this film. Well, maybe because I am one of those guys whose into Showtime's Dexter television series, or someone who's generally curious about how did the Iceman lived a double life of a loving family man and a ruthless hired killer at the same time. Well don't get me wrong, I condone the act of murder or any criminal act that disregard human rights, but there is something curious with themes like this. Call it a guilty pleasure. It gives us an idea of a life of someone that we never could be. Not to mention, the movie adaptation of the true story of the Iceman features a cast of great actors. This film is definitely on our must-watch list of 2012.

Dredd Trailer Impressions: Judge Dredd is Back!

Dredd is a 2012 action sci-fi film based on the Judge Joseph Dredd fictional character from the British science fiction anthology comics 2000 AD. Most of you might be more familiar with the 1995 sci-fi action film Judge Dredd starring Sylvester Stallone. Given this fact, the 2012 Dredd film is not a remake but more of a movie adaptation of the comics 2000 AD featuring the story of Dredd. Let's check out this upcoming action film here.

The story of Dredd takes place on an Earth ravaged by the Atomic Wars. Survivors of this world live within megacities, gargantuan urban sprawls which protect its citizens from the Cursed Earth, a radioactive desert environment populated by mutants. The main story takes place in Mega-City One, where its police force, known as judges have the power of judge, jury and executioner to thwart crime.

One man, Judge Dredd (Karl Urban), a senior Judge, teams with cadet Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) to stop drug dealer Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her traffic of the reality-altering drug Slo-Mo.

Dredd Film Trailer Review

Upon seeing this trailer I initially asked if this is a sequel, prequel or remake of Stallone's Judge Dredd (1995) but in further researching found out that the 1995 version that I was familiar with was not the first Dredd. It is basically a modern film adaptation of a classic British sci-fi action comics.

This is film is probably worth taking a shot especially for those who perfectly or vaguely like 1995's Judge Dredd. Maybe it is just me or it seems like Stallone's Dredd has been forever implanted in my consciousness because I can't help but to reminisce and compare Sylvestre Stallone's portrayal of the badass judge to Karl Urban's modern take on it. Hopefully there is enough high octane action that can also make us reminisce of what the 90's was back in the days. You can't really expect some complex plot when it comes to these kinds of film and what you see in the trailer is probably what you'll get when you hit the theaters once this film gets release on the third quarter of 2012.

Total Recall is a 2012 science-fiction action film remake of the 1990 film of the same name which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the main protagonist Doug Quaid. Total Recall was also based on the 1966 short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. The 2012 remake of is directed by Len Wiseman and screenplay by Kurt Wimmer, Mark Bomback, and James Vanderbilt. 2012's Total Recall stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho, and Bill Nighy is slated for an August 2012 release. Finally a new sci-fi action trailer that really looks awesome! Yes, I feel genuinely interested in the Total Recall trailer. It is a remake of the 1990's Arnold Schwarzenegger Total Recall film but it feels right.

I can barely remember scenes from Total Recall, but I have a good idea that it was a complete action fest especially as it stars Arnold Schwarzenegger back then. Total Recall looks awesome back then and now. A different action movie for a different generation. With the special effects technology available for Hollywood's disposal, Total Recall is shaping to be the new action sci-fi blockbuster.
