Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Walt Disney Pictures has done an excellent job with the presentation of Oz The Great and Powerful official trailer. The magical land of Oz has been beautifully re-imagined in 3-D. The cast of the 2013 prequel to Oz is pretty solid with James Franco as Oscar Diggs (will be later known as the Wizard of Oz). The film can cater to both kids with its magical and fantasy setting, and adults who grew up hearing the story of The Wizard of Oz who wanted to know the origin of the Wizard who helped Dorothy. We'll have another good fantasy film from Walt Disney this 2013.

Prometheus Film Trailer Review

Fans to the Aliens film franchise might have mixed emotions with this rumored prequel to alien. The film/trailer might feature some familiar elements to the popular Alien film series, but fans should also understand that it is set prior to the cult classic Alien film which only means one thing, no xenomorphs (monstrosities for all Alien film series), but that doesn't mean that there won't be any horrors that awaits the unfortunate team set on this perilous mission.

It as that very familiar "Inception" music playing in the Prometheus movie trailer's background which either relates to Inception's "epicness" or just some annoying to those who think that this doesn't even come close. In a way the trailer works, both for Alien film fans and to the newer generation of movie goers. What could be the horror behind all of these? Well, this is just the first official trailer for the film, and it is a long way to go before its June "Summer" 2012 release, so it is expected that they will release more and unfortunately spoiler-full trailers. Hopefully they keep that mystery in tact. There aren't many mainstream sci-fi films created nowadays and Prometheus is a just perfect for sci-fi film fans.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Film Trailer Review

It has long been on both Tolkien and film fans alike, finally it is here... well the official The Hobbit trailer that is. The Lord of the Rings is probably one of the best epic fantasy film adaptation fantasy of all time, and who better else handle tits prequel that Peter Jackson (director of all LOTR Movie Trilogy) himself.

I am not that much of a fanatic but a mere enthusiast of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but just the mere sight of Middle-Earth's Bree at the start of the trailer brought shiver down my spine. As someone who hasn't read the books, there are seemingly new faces and places shown here and that is just fine. It is a prequel for Pete's sake. But as soon as you see Gandalf, orcs, trolls, elves, dwarves and a silhouette of a very familiar corrupted hobbit you'll feel at ease that they made this prequel right. Said to be just the first out of a two part prequel, this trailer is just perfect for fans of the Lord of the Rings book and film trilogy, and even to the newer generation who wanted to start their Tolkien film experience right from the very beginning.

The Thing Trailer Impressions: It's The Thing All Over Again

If there is one thing that we could either be thankful or hateful towards Hollywood, it is for doing remakes or reboots of classic films. This time Universal Pictures makes a prequel to the popular 1982 sci-fi horror classic "The Thing", with "The Thing".

the thing 2011 sci-fi horror

The Thing
Plot

Taking place three days before the events of the John Carpenter 1982 film. Paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) joins a Norwegian scientific team that has stumbled across a crashed extraterrestrial spaceship buried in the ice of Antarctica. They discover a creature that seems to have died in the crash eons ago.

When an experiment frees the alien from its frozen prison, Kate joins the crew's pilot, Carter (Joel Edgerton), to keep it from killing and imitating them one at a time, using its uncanny ability to mimic any life form it absorbs through digestion, and potentially reaching civilization.

Trailer Reviews

Although people who have seen the 1982 classic "The Thing" knows what the creature (antagonist) look like, the teaser doesn't show it in action and that is a good thing. We personally think that trailers must not give everything away but piques movie goers interest to go see it. Hollywood has been guilty of showing too much on their trailers and luckily "The Thing" doesn't fall under such terrible marketing campaign. Well let's keep our fingers crossed that it would still do on future teaser releases.

Being a prequel and all, it is nice to see what is the origin story of another horror classic. Also as being a prequel, you might already have an idea on the outcome of the film, but it would still be interesting to watch The Thing all over again.
