Together, they face a mysterious group of criminals, but things get really tough when a huge army of mutants is set loose against them.

So what is there to say about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem trailer? It's good to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in the big screen with a fresh coat of paint. Though there are some "unique" changes that this 2023 reimagination of the works from its creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird; I can say overall, I am digging the changes thus far. I am of the mind that as long as the film is of good to great quality (in terms of writing, phasing, and performance); I can forgive the more "creative" liberties a series or movie will take which is usually there to appeal to the "modern audiences." Let's just hope that this animated film will also be fresh beyond from the skin-deep changes we see on this trailer.



I like who Mutant Mayhem chose as its villain or rather villains. For once, it didn't use Shredder as its main antagonists, rather, TMNT: Mutant Mayhem focuses on the mutant rogues of this media franchise. The mutant rogues is lead by Baxter Stockman (voiced by Giancarlo Esposito) and following him are popular Shredder minions Rocksteady and Bebop. We can only speculate that if this animated film performs well in the box office, we may very well see a sequel setting up Shredder and his foot soldiers with Krang just like in the earlier film adaptation of TMNT.



It is refreshing to see both Shredder-less TMNT movie and a title where the four brothers are actual teenagers. The two live action movies that preceeded 2023's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) whwerin it features juiced up or gym bros-like Turtles (no offence to teenagers who happen to be gym bros). This time we follow actual teenage Turtles (in stature, demeanor, mannerism, and maturity) with their teenage dream of being accepted and validated by the people of their hometown, New York City. Mutant Mayhem uses a highly stylized cell-shaded 3-D animation similar to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse and its sequel Across the Spider-Verse. While animation is not new for a TMNT animated movie, it is a step up from TMNT (2007) animated film. I am personally hyped up for this film and will see it once it hits the theaters by August 2, 2023.

Evil Dead Official Red Band Trailer Impressions: Can this 2013 Remake Lived Up To Its Cult-Classic Origin?

Evil Dead is the upcoming 2013 remake of the popular 1981 cult classic Evil Dead. 2013's Evil Dead is directed and written by Fede Alvarez with Rodo Sayagues for screenplay, starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, and Elizabeth Blackmore. Evil Dead (2013) is slated for a tentative April 12, 2013 US theatrical release. Let's check out if this remake without Bruce in it be as phenomenal as the first film was?

Although the film had the approval of both Sam Raimi and Evil Dead's main protagonist Bruce Campbell, Bruce as Ash won't be appearing on this modern reboot of the film that made him a household name. Well it is probably the best way to approach with this film. It is a different genre and the theme is teenagers and as much as we adore Bruce, he is not really around the "teen age". Also it is safe for him if ever the reboot does suck big time.

Luckily, the trailer isn't leading towards a "SUCK"-fest rating, rather I find it more creepier than its 1981 predecessor. Well it might be just me, but this trailer made me want to look at this newer version to just see what things will they add to the mix. I can see more blood, gore and "realism" on the trailer for the Evil Dead 2013 official red band trailer. I just wonder as to how will they marry in the comedic element on this seemingly more straight on horror flick. Hope they add new jokes because it would be disappointing if they even recycle THOSE. Generally (as you can see on the screen caps we managed to pull off from the trailer), the Evil Dead reboot for 2013 looks really promising.

Red Dawn Trailer Impressions: A 2012 Action War Film Remake of a What-If Universe were USA Got Invaded

Red Dawn is an upcoming American action war film directed by Dan Bradley; and written by Jeremy Passmore and Carl Ellsworth; starring Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki, Isabel Lucas, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Andrew Tanner (Morgan) reveals that North Koreans have used an EMP satellite to take out the power grids throughout the states, crippling the entire nation, so Jed makes a plan to steal the controls of their new weapon and use it against them. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, and band together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.

Just like the 1984 Red Dawn, the 2012 Red Dawn uses the same what-if scenario. That what if one of their country's considered worst enemy invades their much beloved nation. Well all hell breaks loose especially if you put a group of teenagers in it... say whuuuut?

There are a number of ways that can make a soldier out of anyone. Besides patriotism and nationalism, one powerful force is family. Red Dawn used all of those. A different generation calls for a different Red Dawn. This time its not the Russians, but the Asians... specifically North Koreans. I don't know what to feel about this idea of using real world nations depicting them as villains in films. Well, given that they might really be that vile or up to no good, I don't know if it is really appropriate to play on these sensitive themes. These kinds of films can stir up various emotions if it does what it is meant for. Red Dawn maybe considered a propaganda, a sick joke, a provocation, or purely just entertainment... it really depends. But anyways, if you are an action film fan or any of the cast included in the film, or curious about this 2012 remake of the 1984 Red Dawn. Then this might be worth the shot.

Total Recall Trailer Impressions: Total Recollection of Sci-Fi Action Bad Assery

Total Recall is a 2012 science-fiction action film remake of the 1990 film of the same name which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the main protagonist Doug Quaid. Total Recall was also based on the 1966 short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. The 2012 remake of is directed by Len Wiseman and screenplay by Kurt Wimmer, Mark Bomback, and James Vanderbilt. 2012's Total Recall stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho, and Bill Nighy is slated for an August 2012 release. Finally a new sci-fi action trailer that really looks awesome! Yes, I feel genuinely interested in the Total Recall trailer. It is a remake of the 1990's Arnold Schwarzenegger Total Recall film but it feels right.

I can barely remember scenes from Total Recall, but I have a good idea that it was a complete action fest especially as it stars Arnold Schwarzenegger back then. Total Recall looks awesome back then and now. A different action movie for a different generation. With the special effects technology available for Hollywood's disposal, Total Recall is shaping to be the new action sci-fi blockbuster.

First Look on Spider-Man 2012 Reboot: Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man Suit and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey

When everyone heard that Spider-Man will be rebooted in 2012, everyone scratched their heads ask as to why. Spanning over three films, who would have thought that the Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man film will be cancelled in favor of a new one. so no more Tobey Maguirte as "Spidey" and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson as they are now replaced by Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the 2012 remake of Spider-man. Another Marvel superhero film can be remembered that experienced such treatment. 2003's Hulk which stars Eric Bana as Bruce Banner/Hulk and directed by Ang Lee received poor reception which is really craving for a reboot which then came to reality on the 2008 with The Incredible Hulk, which then stars Edward Norton as Hulk with the direction of Louis Leterrier.

If you carefully look at the new Spider-man costume you will notice a small metallic object under Spidey's palm (wrist area) which means that the 2012 version of Spider-man uses mechanical web-shooters well to shoot web. It makes a lot more sense as to why Spidey needs to fold his middle or both his middle and the ring finger in order to shoot web. Whether it a genuine idea or just wanting to deviate from the Raimi's version of Spider-man this is a nice revision to the 2012 Spider-man film. Another change that the reboot will feature is the back to high school setting of this new franchise. The 2012 Spider-man reboot would also focus more on Peter Parker's first love, Gwen Stacy. An injustice was done to Gwen Stacy's character in the third and last Raimi Spider-man film so hopefully this will be the reboot's edge over its predecessor. The film also feature The Lizard as its main villain.

Would all these changes be enough to keep the Spider-man film series from falling apart? Hopefully the film would be accompanied by better story telling, production, acting, and loyalty to its form (Marvel comics) in terms of the characters for movie goers to have no complaints in seeing another Spider-man origin story.

The Epic Fantasy Adventure Continues with The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The third Narnia film which is also a remake reunites us with Edmund Pevensie and Lucy Pevensie of the first two films together with a new character, Edmund and Lucy's annoying 9-year-old cousin Eustace Scrubb. To why their two elder siblings can't rejoin them in their quest back to Narnia is what will later be revealed in the film.

Premise

The Dawn Treader is the first ship Narnia has seen in centuries. King Caspian has built it for his voyage to find the seven lords, good men whom his evil uncle Miraz banished when he usurped the throne many years earlier. His Telmarine ancestors had never built ships as they had always feared the sea.



The journey takes Edmund Pevensie, Lucy Pevensie, their cousin Eustace Scrubb and King Caspian to the Eastern Islands, beyond the Silver Sea. Their mission – on which rests the fate of Narnia itself – takes the courageous voyagers to mysterious islands, a river that turns whatever it touches to gold, confrontations with magical creatures and sinister enemies. They will meet Lilliandil the half-star and reunite with their old friend and protector, the great lion Aslan. They will also have to save Narnia from an "unfathomable fate", including a mysterious green mist.

Another Dream Big Screen Team Up Come True: Jolie and Depp on The Tourist

The Tourist is another big budgeted remake starring two of Hollywood's biggest names, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in an action-pack drama thriller. A remake of the 2005 French romance-thriller, Anthony Zimmer. Take it from me when I say that you shouldn't go try looking for spoilers of the original French film. Unless you want to spoil the fun of finding out how the movie ends, that is.



The Tourist Synopsis
Premise

Frank (Depp) is an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise (Jolie) is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path in order to mislead all those following her former lover, Alexander Pearce, a criminal wanted in fourteen countries who has stolen money from a gangster (Berkoff) and is being pursued by an agent (Bettany). Against the breathtaking backdrop of Venice, Frank attempts to forge a potential romance but soon finds himself a target as he and Elise are caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.

The movie follows the series of manipulations, as characters realise that they are merely pieces being played by an unseen mastermind of the game.

Predators - A "Game" of Life and Death

Another classic sci-fi icon will make a comeback this 2010 with "Predators". The popular pop classic predators are back with this sequel to the Arnold Schwarzeneiger's Predator (very first Predator) movie back in 1987. This time join a group of humans as they try to survive a "game" where their lives are at stake.



Predators Synopsis:

Set immediately after the first film, a mercenary named Royce who is abducted by alien creatures known as the Predators. He is released onto an alien planet—which acts as a game reserve—along with seven other humans, who with the exception of a disgraced physician, are all cold-blooded killers consisting of mercenaries and convicts. Royce reluctantly leads the group of elite warriors as they come to realize they have been brought together to this planet as prey for a new breed of Predator. While battling to survive against these creatures, they come across an American soldier known as Noland who was brought to the planet years ago as game, but has managed to survive by hiding from the Predators in a cave. Noland reveals that the Predators have been hunting humans by dropping them on this planet for many years.
