Oz The Great and Powerful
Plot / Synopsis

Disney's fantastical adventure "Oz The Great and Powerful," imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum's beloved wizard character.

When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful wizard but into a better man as well.

Walt Disney Pictures has done an excellent job with the presentation of Oz The Great and Powerful official trailer. The magical land of Oz has been beautifully re-imagined in 3-D. The cast of the 2013 prequel to Oz is pretty solid with James Franco as Oscar Diggs (will be later known as the Wizard of Oz). The film can cater to both kids with its magical and fantasy setting, and adults who grew up hearing the story of The Wizard of Oz who wanted to know the origin of the Wizard who helped Dorothy. Jack The Giant Killer Film Trailer Review

Unfamiliar with the "Jack the Giant Killer" fairy tale, this one can easily be mistaken as a dark "Jack and the Beanstalk", but further in the video you'll notice that there are more giants and a glimpse of war and these proves that this is not what you first thought of it. It can be a variation of it though.

Yes, another Hollywood film adaptation of a fairy ale and who's complaining, right? If you want to see another fairy tale story we grew with put to film by Hollywood for a more adult audience, then this is just perfect. Some scenes in the trailer show actual actors not blending well with the CGI environment and IO hope this doesn't take anything away from the film experience or hope hey flawlessly blend it while it is on its final production phase. The trailer is a good teaser for he film, providing the mystery of what the giants are like or the conflict between men and giants.

Snow White and the Huntsman

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Charlize Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power. The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

Snow White and the Huntsman Trailer Review

There have been various film incarnations of the fairy tale of Snow White but that didn't stopped Hollywood from making another one. This time, a fresh new take on the story of the girl whose skin is as white as snow gets a fresh new darker take in the same sense as Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Red Riding Hood (2011). Catering more on the adult market such films have so much expectations and so much to loose. What does the trailer say about this darker film based on a fairy tale?

Snow Wite and the huntsman June 2012 film title

Right off the bat, let me say that this trailer looks promising. Who would have thought that "that" seemingly awkward female protagonist from that indescribable film (not in a good way) called Twilight, would actually be even considered as the fairest of them all. Well hopefully we don't get that awkward acting on this film. Glad it is not just her but the Mighty ehr... Huntsman is in it as well. So we know that the action part is already covered. And then we have Miss Charlize Theron! We know how wicked that witch is (well in the story), but this time Charlize gives her a whole lot more justice by making her as bad to the bones. We already know what will happen to this story but the journey going towards that finale is what picques people's curiosity. Besides the "Tron: Legacy"-ish type of sound playing on the background and that Kristen Stewart. I have nothing else to complain about Snow White and the Huntsman.
