Beautiful Creatures is an upcoming 2013 Warner Bros and Summit Entertainment supernatural romance film under the direction and screenplay of Richard LaGravenese starring Alice Englert, Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Emma Thompson, and Jeremy Irons. Beautiful Creatures is based from the young adult novel of the same name "Beautiful Creatures" by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. The film is slated for a February 2013 US theatrical release. With more movie adaptations of some of the bestselling titles under the young adult genre, demon hunters with The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, zombies with Warm Bodies and witches with Beautiful Creatures, 2013 is looking quite nice for young adult market. Well Casters seems to be the right term rather than witches as what Beautiful Creatures 2013's film adaptation refer them to.

I am not really big in the romance so I am not really the best guy to refer these kinds of film, but what I can say is that basing from its trailer it does look quite alright. The special effects for spells looks impressive. Let's just hope that the overall story and performance of the actors would deliver.

Warm Bodies is an upcoming 2013 romantic zombie comedy film based on the novel Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion and is directed by Jonathan Levine starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer. Zombies have become its own genre in Hollywood now. The usual theme is horror and comedy, but adding a romantic element to a zombie film is refreshing. This is what Warm Bodies did, which is pretty obscure. Well, the idea of zombies is already pretty over the top concept itself, but dying and becoming a zombie only to gain a second shot at life because of love is even weirder even for zombie standards.

Meet R, a zombie who can barely put words together. The trailer starts off at the point of perspective of a zombie which is also particularly new given that they are pretty much "brain dead" or rather they cease to exist when their brains are blown off. Zombies are pretty much the antagonists in this film, but the budding love between a teenage zombie and a teenage girl may give these warm bodied zombies a second chance in life. The only question is how can they convince living humans to reconsider their miraculous change of heart (and appetite) while another set of zombies of the sinister kind exists. My curiosity is piqued with Warm Bodies, I am just hoping that it doesn't suck as bad as that other romantic movie featuring a human and a more popular horror monster.

If there is one thing worth dying for, it our dear loved ones... our family. A family vacation takes a wrong turn when most of its members got abducted, and what seems to be a kidnapping case turns to be something more intriguing and dangerous. Family in danger, conspiracy, and a man caught in between. A perfect set up for an action film right?



The Cold Light of Day features Bruce Willis who is a Central Intelligence Agent, but this is not about him but his son played by Henry Cavill who found his father's secret the hard way. Now he is left to his few resources to decide on the fate of his family. The trailer started out like an everyday family vacation but later transforms into an action-pack trailer that sets up the mood for the film. The concept may not be so original but it gives off an excellent vibe of action to it. What could be inside that suitcase? Who are the people pulling the strings and abducted the protagonists family? Those questions are more than enough to pique one's action fans community to go check this out. Not to mention dear old Bruce Willis is in it.

The Darkest Hour is a 2011 science-fiction alien invasion themed film slated for a December release from Summit Entertainment and 20th Century Fox. Hollywood has brought us various reiterations of how an alien invasion might happen, but they usually involve some solid and visible threat that everyone might easily fight back or be afraid of, but The Darkest Hour takes a fresh take on it. Aliens will never go away. Just when you thought that you have seen it all, comes a new film that somehow gives it a fresh take. At least that is what The Darkest Hour official film trailer tries to showcase. Did it work? In a way, YES!



Well at least we are given a fresh perspective on an Alien invasion, a Russian one. But do not mistake this as a Russian film, the setting is only in Russia, but the main survivors (protagonists) speaks the international language. The trailer has teased film fans enough to make them go see how will the world survive an invasion from alien energy-devouring light orbs. Upon seeing the trailer one can also ask if to whether these light orbs are indeed formless energy-devouring lights or there are some diabolical alien creature using this as a shield. The mystery of finding out about this is will drive people to watch this. The Darkest Hour gets a nice recommendation for CMAQUEST, as this is now on my "to watch" list.
