So what is there to say about the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies official trailer? Well, what can't be asaid about the trailer? The title alone speaks for itself. It is a film adaptation of the 2009 novel by Seth Grahame-Smith parodying Jane Austen's 1813 classic novel "Pride and Prejudice". It is Pride and Prejudice only set in an alternate reality where a zombie outbreak endangers the 19th century England and it is up its English citizen to fight them using a wide arsenal of zombie killing weapons and martial arts. It is so ridiculous but it worked as the 2009 parody novel has been warmly received by critics and became a part of various best seller list (mainly New York Times and later at Amazon). A novel that warmly welcomes classical literature fans and the more contemporary fans of horror, comedy, and zombies.


One shouldn't really be surprised as many bestselling novel have been subjected to various film adaptation and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" is way up on that list. The film is simply a treat for both classical literature fans whom had enjoyed the Jane Austen novel and modern movie fans into zombies. Who wouldn't want to see 19th century classy English women using martial arts (even Ninjutsu) to fight off hordes of zombies? Let's just hope that this film adaptation gives justice to its source material. Paper Towns is an American teen romantic mystery adventure film based from the 2008 novel of the same name by author John Green. John Green is the same author of the novel "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Looking for Alaska". Paper Towns is directed by Jake Schreier and written (screenplay) by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. So what is there to say about Paper Towns? Well I find the premise to be a bit interesting since I am into the Mystery genre. I also have not read or familiar with the John Green novel so I am really clueless as to how this film would unfold. Paper Towns trailer gives off a bit of coming-of-age or self-discovery kind of feel to it. Before you find yourself, you have to lose it...






A film about the mysterious next door girl who have shown interest in the seemingly ordinary protagonist and eventually went missing after the fated crazy night spent with him; then the protagonist went on an adventure to look for her but seemingly the clues are leading to him discovering life. If that is not a formula for a feel good movie, I don't know what is. Hopefully Paper Towns has something for both male and female demographics. I am particularly not that impressed with the slew of young adult adult novels getting adapted to the big screen, but I generally keep an open mind and attitude for them at first; either that is a good thing or not. So far the Paper Towns trailer has piqued some curiosity and will "probably" check it out.

With more movie adaptations of some of the bestselling titles under the young adult genre, demon hunters with The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, zombies with Warm Bodies and witches with Beautiful Creatures, 2013 is looking quite nice for young adult market. Well Casters seems to be the right term rather than witches as what Beautiful Creatures 2013's film adaptation refer them to.

I am not really big in the romance so I am not really the best guy to refer these kinds of film, but what I can say is that basing from its trailer it does look quite alright. The special effects for spells looks impressive. Let's just hope that the overall story and performance of the actors would deliver.

Zombies have become its own genre in Hollywood now. The usual theme is horror and comedy, but adding a romantic element to a zombie film is refreshing. This is what Warm Bodies did, which is pretty obscure. Well, the idea of zombies is already pretty over the top concept itself, but dying and becoming a zombie only to gain a second shot at life because of love is even weirder even for zombie standards.

Meet R, a zombie who can barely put words together. The trailer starts off at the point of perspective of a zombie which is also particularly new given that they are pretty much "brain dead" or rather they cease to exist when their brains are blown off. Zombies are pretty much the antagonists in this film, but the budding love between a teenage zombie and a teenage girl may give these warm bodied zombies a second chance in life. The only question is how can they convince living humans to reconsider their miraculous change of heart (and appetite) while another set of zombies of the sinister kind exists. My curiosity is piqued with Warm Bodies, I am just hoping that it doesn't suck as bad as that other romantic movie featuring a human and a more popular horror monster.

Amidst all of the chaos and stress bought by knowing the time of when will the world ends, two people might just find the right kind of love that they need all along. It is one of those movies that makes you laugh, reflect, and think. I am curious as how this would end. Will it be just another false alarm or will it end with a big bang? This is why I am pretty much excited for the film.

A Little Bit Zombie is just screaming "low-budget" but this probably adds up to the charm of this film. Although a romantic zombie comedy film is not that revolutionary, A Little Bit Zombie does looks intriguing and entertaining.



The film looks really campy which is somehow intentional. This is a film that doesn't take itself too seriously, and this could either be the strength or weakness of the film. This time, we are not cheering for the zombie killers but the zombie and her bride to be as they both try to outrun the hunters and find a way to make a marriage with a zombie works. Will this comedy have a happy ending or a tragedy? Well I am fired up about this mix of genre film. What about you?

Perfect Sense is one of those films that asks the question "can love conquer all?". The answer is of course it does as shown in countless of films ever known to mankind. This time the question is asked in a pandemic setting. What if all of the basic senses that made you appreciate ad fall in love with someone starts disappearing one by one, can love still endure?


That is what this film is all about. Categorize more as a drama than a romantic film (and I can understand why), the Perfect Sense movie trailer evokes a sense melancholy. Just look at those two madly in love people thrown in a seemingly world ending pandemic crisis. Basing from the trailer, one can say that it does succeed conveying the message over and may make people interested as to how their seemingly tragic love story may conclude. Not everyone can avail or has the opportunity to see a film in its Sundance Film Festival premiere, so one can all do is wait for an international (US) release. If you ask me, I am interested to see this one.

Before we even had movies, people were already going into theaters for theatrical plays and musicals. Musicals are one of the first forms of public and even sophisticated form of entertainment. There have been and still are, a slew of various Broadway and theatrical play artists that have entered Hollywood (Bollywood, etc.), and this is probably why the entertainment industry came up with the musical film genre. To cater to the same musical loving film audience.



Rock of Ages is another musical film based on a similarly entitled and popular broadway musical. Hollywood has this of attitude of taking something that works and making it into film and in a way that worked well up to this day. The plot is vaguely hinted on the trailer and it is how it should be. For the plot, acting and production value are the main and only factors that makes musical films successful. This musical film trailer somehow put a smile on my face as I watched it and I am not even into musicals so that itself is a testimony that this trailer works. Nostalgia and rock music plays a major role in the marketability of this title, and this is why I am fearlessly predicting that this would be an entertaining film.

The trailer tells the general idea of the entire film but that does not spoil anything away. Like any romantic comedy film, it has its ups and downs, but to how will this film progressed from beginning to end is what a movie goer might be curious about. It is screaming of slapstick cliches but it is somehow okay, a feel good romantic comedy.

Two nice actors from similarly successful romantic films join in one mega mushy film about renewed love. Well, it is bound to happen as this is the main plot of this film. In a country where divorce is an easy choice when things go out of hand in marriages, a couple dared to fulfill their vows after a tragedy that can destroy a partners heart.



Although I have seen such exact same storyline as this film has, there is this certain magic in this trailer. Maybe it is Rachel McAdams for being so lovely, and girls/women may prefer Channing Tatum, but the chemistry they have onscreen is convincing. Although this looks pretty predictable, it is the journey to get to that much awaited conclusion is what this film or any other chick flick is cashing on. Hope you won't go deeper in researching about this film because you might uncover the true story which inspired this film which I obviously did. It will spoil you of it but believe me when I say that it is one great story which really happened in real life. As a guy, this is a nice date film as well. Hopefully guys can sit through this entire film without killing themselves in sheer mushiness. For girls and romantics out there, this is a chick flick to catch.

The Adjustment Bureau is an interesting science fiction film which once again ask the question to whether love really conquer all. Can someone go against the physical embodiment of destiny and chose free will? This all will unfold as The Adjustment Bureau hits theaters March 2011.

He meets a beautiful ballet dancer named Elise Sellas, played by Blunt, only to find that strange circumstances keep them from becoming romantically involved. Norris discovers forces are at work to keep them apart, and he peels the layers to find out why. The action takes place in various places in Manhattan.
