The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Film Trailer Review

What can we say about the second trailer for the Hobbit 2012 film adaptation that we haven't said in the first trailer impression we did? Now the second trailer has more epic action scenes and now with the well beloved Gollum a.k.a. Smeagol. Well chances are that Gollum wouldn't even be in this first Hobbit film, but what the heck it effectively builds hype and that is not really that bad. Misleading but not bad.

For those who loved and followed the epic adventure of Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings film and book trilogy, this film adaptation is essential to complete what the first film trilogy has started. Konami with the help MercurySteam and Kojima Productions has successfully revitalized and transitioned their popular sidescrolling platformer game franchise Castlevania into an action-adventure 3rd person game for the Xbox 350 and the Playstation 3 back at 2010 with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Although a reboot, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow got a fairly positive reception from its old and newer audiences. The 2010 Castlevania reboot may have looked like another God of War clone, but it can't be deny that it still has the same elements that made Castlevania Castlevania.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 Gabriel Belmont as Dracul possessing the Forgotten One's powers

Classic Castlevania gamers are treated with another take, a new origin story of the main antagonist in the series. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow followed the tragic tale of Gabriel Belmont. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 picks up where Castlevania: Lords of Shadow's "Resurrection" DLC drops off. The trailer seems to imply that Gabriel now known as Dracula is more of a menace than a savior as he face off with battle-born knights, but having the sinister and diabolical power of the Forgotten One in him he easily sweep off these warriors... until one seemingly familiar character is the only one left to challenge him. Most Castlevania fans speculate that this mysterious character is Alucard (Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes), the son of Dracula from Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Castlevania Legends, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Judgment. Although it might be a treat to see another familiar character in the Castlevania reboot for the seventh generation consoles, fans should take this teaser trailer with a grain of salt. Alucard may or may not be a playable character in the game, not to mention the mysterious character might not even be Alucard himself. Still this is a decent trailer and if you played or wanted more from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (2010) then you'll definitely would want to get your hands on this sequel.

An Epic Medieval Supernatural Journey with the Season of the Witch

If a kingdom is plagued, it definitely has to do with witches. Season of the Witch is another supernatural thriller film which follows two crusade knights who similarly are knights of Hollywood, Ron Perlman and Nicholas Cage as they embark on an epic journey to rid the kingdom of the curse brought down by a very beautiful (ahem) witch... or is she really the one to blame? (sticks the edge of his right pinky on the side of his right lips ala Dr. Evil). Find that out in this medieval supernatural film entitled Season of the Witch.
