Eddie Murphy is known for his loudness and his usually non-stop mouth in comedy films. He has been in various good comedy flicks in the past, but then there are some really awful ones. To what does A Thousand Words movie trailer tells about this 2012 comedy film?



A comedy film about ala game of charades? If it gets the message over, then why not? A Thousand Words trailer looks promising as a comedy film. It gives off that "Bruce Almighty" feel to it, in a sense that the film also associates itself to another religious sect, Buddhism. A Thousand words might actually be a good comedy film that may teach the value and weight of words, and honesty. I just hope that A Thousand Words blends it all together, writing and story-wise. Hope it does not just feature nonsensical slap sticks but good intellectual comedy with the heart.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Master of Monsters Trailer Impressions: Take Control of Cocoon and Gran Pulse Monsters

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is Square Enix' direct sequel to its 2009's Final Fantasy XIII rpg title for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Received with mixed reviews, predominantly negative ones, Final Fantasy XIII adapted a more passive game mechanics using a more action oriented live combat system and the use of paradigm shifts rather than the traditional turn-base ATB style of gameplay that the rpg series was known. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will hopefully improve on the last title with new game mechanics like the ones feature in the Masters of Monsters trailer.

Plot / Synopsis

The worlds of Gran Pulse and Cocoon in Final Fantasy XIII return in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Players will be able to revisit old areas that have changed in appearance like Lake Bresha, now called the Bresha Ruins. A re-created version of the city of Bodhum had been made on Pulse, known as New Bodhum. Many of the civilians from Bodhum now live here. The Yaschas Massif on Pulse reappears with its ruins now inhabited by Cocoon soldiers and scientists like the Bresha Ruins. The Sunleth Waterscape is no longer a lush-green nature reserve. The Archlyte Steppe is now inhabited by hunters. Valhalla, the realm of death and chaos at the edge of time in the distant future, otherwise known as "the invisible world" will also be a playable area. Serendipity is a floating casino city packed with minigames like Slots and Chocobo Racing. The city of Academia replaces Eden as the new capital city, and is Hope Estheim's new hometown. Augusta Tower, an area with a maze-like interior.

As a Final Fantasy series fan and someone who played Final Fantasy XIII, this is a very welcome added feature to the sequel. If you ask me, this feature should have been in the first game, I guess the developers had other plans for the game. If only the first game has adapted a more manual job and battle system, this might have been incorporated in the first game. Sadly there were no Beastmaster job in the first one, so to how will they make use of the monsters is what I am curious about.





I had a few complaints on the first game for its linearity, lack of towns to explore and side quests from human NPCs, but it didn't break the gaming experience all in all. It is a different Final Fantasy and they might have been trying out a few things and as to whether it has succeed or not is what they later found out. I actually liked the first game and finished it from beginning to end. Hopefully with new game features where you are able to take control of either Gran Pulse or Cocoon monsters, it will add more fun hours to the Fnal Fantasy XIII-2 gaming. AS we countdown to Final Fantasy XIII-2's official video game release on February 2012 release, every new feature will be warmly embraced by gamers who adored and excited for this trailer and will change the minds of those who bashed it the first game.

Who would ever thought that G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra will have a sequel? Well sarcasm aside, the sequel will be released on Summer 2012 in the US. It is flashy, expensive, and over the top, this is really a Hollywood film adaptation of the beloved Hasbro toy line and pop culture icon. The only question is will you like it?



What has not been said? It is a Hollywood movie adaptation of the popular toy franchise and later comics and television cartoons, if you have seen the first one, well it is that but with a seemingly darker take, but still over the top. Most critics and avid fans of the classic G.I. Joe gave the first film mostly negative reviews, but that didn't stopped the Studios in continuing with this re-imagination of Hasbro's famous toy franchise. Hopefully the inclusion of Bruce Willis and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson could give the film more depth and seriousness to it. hopefully it has better writing and plot that goes along with two big names in action.

Just seeing the two Agents back for the third time is already enough to make fans of the past two Men in Black films and animated series excited. J must eventually uncover the mystery behind K's disappearance by traveling back in time through a "time jump". This is the perfect first trailer for Men in Black 3 as it provides enough mystery to attract old and new movie goers to check it out. There will be more Men in Black movie trailers on the weeks to come, but this MIB3 first trailer is more than enough to make fans excited and curious as to what are the secrets behind K's disappearance and a possible intergalactic threat.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol or Mission: Impossible 4 - Ghost Protocol is a 2011 spy film is the fourth film under the Mission: Impossible film series which follows the exploits of IMF Agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise). The M:I film series has always been noted for its high octane action, convoluted conspiracies, and over the top action sequences. I grew up watching the Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible film series. Every movie under the M:I series has been consistent in providing great entertainment. The action sequences might be over the top sometimes but they are still tolerable. Not to mention that LSS-inducing theme song that the Mission: Impossible film series has been known for.



We are once again reacquainted with Ethan Hunt and luckily he still has his job as a spy for great old Uncle Sam. This time they go really dark and under the radar to once again uncover some conspiracy with tons of action, betrayal, and conspiracies. There is nothing left to say. All expectations are high on this fourth Mission: Impossible Series. It is a no-brainer Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol gets an automatic recommendation from us for spy and action fans alike.

Ah! Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance. Who would have thought that they would make a sequel out of the first film which was negatively received by most critics? Well, I guess ordinary movie goers liked it and as a trend in Hollywood if it sells, then why not milk it. This is why they made a sequel still featuring Nicholas Cage as The Ghost Rider.



After stating the obvious facts, people will still watch Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance when it hits theaters in February 2012. It still has superb graphics and hopefully the people behind the first film actually listen (for once) to critical feedback on the first film. People are looking for a darker and grittier storyline and characters, which was really normal for a Marvel character who is struggling with a demon craving for the sins of mankind. When I first heard that they are going to make a sequel for Ghost Rider, I really hope that it was going to be a reboot of some sort or that they will be picking different people (actors) to play the role of Ghost Rider. Marvel has done it with Spider-man, Hulk, Fantastic Four and Punisher so why not the Ghost Rider. It was poorly received then so it was a surprised when they announced that the same team or actors will be resuming their roles in the 2012 sequel. 'Guess Marvel has other plans for the Ghost rider film series. If Spider-man made it to all three films before Hollywood decided to finally pull the plug on it and pushed the reset button, well I guess a sequel won't hurt the Ghost Rider. The trailer features a lot more darker tone, but still manages to pull a few laughs in it. Imagine how Ghost Rider would pee when he is on fire, man that scene either cracks you up or irritate you to death.

The trailer tells the general idea of the entire film but that does not spoil anything away. Like any romantic comedy film, it has its ups and downs, but to how will this film progressed from beginning to end is what a movie goer might be curious about. It is screaming of slapstick cliches but it is somehow okay, a feel good romantic comedy.

The Wicker Tree Trailer Impressions: A Spiritual Successor to 1973's The Wicker Man

The Wicker Tree is a 2011 horror thriller film which contains various elements from the 1973 horror cult classic The Wicker Man. I am as confused as most of you when I watched the trailer for this film. There are cowboys, abduction, running ladies, a burning three, and sacrifices. In my honest opinion this trailer is not effective to build a hype.



After researching though, an interest sparked. The Wicker Tree is said to be the spiritual successor of the 1973 cult classic "The Wicker Man", not the 2008 unofficial American remake of The Wicker Man starring Nicholas Cage. This time, this spiritual successor has all the blessings of the man who directed the 1973 cult classic for this was also based on his own novel. But going back to the trailer, if you are not familiar with the 1973 film, then this trailer can be a very confusing. It is not "new generation of movie goer" friendly as all it sows are the positive reviews stated by film critics. Given that it is that good, it is still is not enough to make one excited to go see it if ever it gets to be released this 2011. Take note that this trailer is released on December 8, 2011 and there is no exact date when it will be released, so it might be this December or next year. If they are trying to create another cult classic then they might be ale to pull it off. But like other cult classics, this title might be off on everyone's radar and people will only able to appreciate this film after some fifty or so years.

At first glance on this Q2 video game title release of 2012 one might think "What another video game starring orcs?", but just give take time to watch it and you might start to appreciate the beauty of it. Of Orcs and Men is not the first video game that features orc-like creatures as the main protagonists, but there is somehow a nice sense of adventure in this title.



This is the first Of Orcs and Men teaser trailer and it does not tell much of the game all in all. What information it only provides as of this trailer is that Of Orcs and Men is a roleplaying game which lets you control either the big brute orc or the more stealthy goblin. This game might very well be a cooperative video game title. As for the graphics, I am not that into the 3-D, HD graphics stuff. So I think Of Orcs and Men's graphics in this trailer is alright. As long as a game provides excellent gameplay, engaging plot, and superb writing, I am already satisfied. Youtube users also compared and referenced Of Orcs and Men to a 1937 novel entitled "Of Men and Mice" by Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck which tells the story of two migrant workers during the great depression. I made a follow up search for it and discover that the novel itself ended tragically but beautifully, so if ever they adapted the novel's story then they might probably have some compelling stuff in the game. If ever they did use it, I suggest for you gamers out there interested in this title to not spoil yourself by reading "Of Mice and Men" plot summary online, or if you are that curious you can get the actual book and read it.

Well there is a lot and this is what Cabin in the Woods movie know, but before you shrug this title off your radar, I think it is worth taking a look. As Cabin in the Woods twist what you might possibly think behind is the horror behind the woods.



Will it be some deranged psychotic killer or a monstrosity of unimaginable proportions? Well that is the question in this trailer, but more than that there is a sense and element of science fiction in this film. When you see someone talks on the phone referring to the woods as a "killing floor" and a forced field frying an eagle to oblivion , then it gets more intriguing. What is behind the killings? Is it of human technology or something more sinister? Is it really a man's sick and twisted entertainment or there is a more intriguing underlying twist behind it? With that many lingering questions, the Cabin in the Woods 2012 movie trailer has proven effective as a teaser and hype builder to the actual thriller-horror film next year.

The Grey is an action drama survival film starring Liam Neeson slated for a January 2012 release. It tells a story of how a few men who survived a seemingly impossible plane crash must also eventually survive the wrath of nature and the wilds.

Do you know what is the scariest thing that could happen to anyone in this world? It is not zombies, aliens, or attack from any fictitious monstrosities, but the reality of one's surviving with one's own means in an environment of great peril. That is what The Grey 2012 film trailer has showcased, and if ever you get the chance to survive a plane crash you would better wish that you have Liam Neeson with you and survived Hahahaha.



Thanks to the trailer the film just looks bad ass! Well thanks to a security enforcer surviving the crash, the remaining survivors might eventually survive the freezing region of Alaska thanks to his training, but they can never learn how to fight as effectively with him when it comes to a pack of wolves. Do not go all PETA on me as what these sort of films do is actually make you cheer for those humans who would only want to survive. The Grey is a survival film where after man fights nature, he later fights beast. The only fear I have with this film is the probable ending. Nope, I haven't seen it yet but there is something in the trailer that provided a hint for me. I just hope that they really did survive, if you know where I am going with this.

John Carter is a 2012 epic sci-fi film featuring the main protagonist of the Barsoom series of novels by the highly acclaimed pulp fiction author Edgar Rice Burrough (1875 –1950) who also created Tarzan the King of the Jungle. Although here have been various of publications featuring John Carter, this is the first time that Hollywood made it to a grandiose epic of a film slated for a March 2012 release. Plot / Synopsis

The film is largely based on A Princess of Mars, the first novel to feature John Carter. The novel was originally published as a magazine serial in 1912 and then brought out in book form in 1917. In the novel John Carter is an American Civil War veteran who is miraculously transported to Mars, known to its inhabitants as Barsoom. He is immediately captured by a race of green-skinned barbarians who are 12 feet (4 meters) tall, having six limbs and long tusks. Formerly an Earthlike world, Barsoom has become less hospitable to life over the millennia. As its oceans evaporated and its atmosphere thinned, Barsoom's inhabitants became hardened and warlike, constantly fighting one another to survive. Barsoomian society thus devolved into partial barbarism.

Carter befriends the Green Martian Tars Tarkas and rescues a humanoid Red Martian princess, Dejah Thoris, from the Tharks, a belligerent tribe of Green Martians. He gains the Barsoomians' respect with his superior strength and fighting ability. Carter ultimately enlists the Green Martians' assistance in winning a war waged by Dejah Thoris' people, and he saves all Martians from asphyxiation when the planet's atmosphere factory malfunctions.

When I saw the first trailer of John Carter I said to myself "Hmm... okay. This looks like it is going to be a decent sci-fi film". After the second trailer was released this December 2011 my expectation was raised a couple of notch. Do not get me wrong it looks really epic and it is made by Walt Disney but the trailer looks cartoonish and some scenes (in the trailer) does not look convincing (Yeah, as if humans being teleported to fight a Marsians fight is realistic hahahaha). Not convincing that the blending of the live human actors and the CGI seems off, as seen on the very first screen cap on this Johhn Carter trailer review. It might just be the quality of the trailer, but I do hope that this would not be the case when it finally hits the theaters on March 2012.



Upon additional research regarding the John Carter 2012 film, I found out that it is actually a movie adaptation of a classic. John Carter was one of the masterpieces of author Edgar Rice Burrough who also created Tarzan. Well, we are all familiar with Tarzan, so this time it is John Carter's turn to introduced itself to the newer generation of movie goers and readers. With that note, I started to appreciate this 2012 Walt Disney title a little more, and now CMAQUEST puts John Carter on its "2012 to-watch list". Hope Walt Disney does not disappoint with this movie adaptation of the 1912 John Carter.

The Vow is a romantic drama film starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum as husband and a wife whose marriage was put to the test after one tragic incident. Slated for a February "Valentines Day" 2012 release, fall in love all over again literally with this amnesia-themed of a chick film.

Two nice actors from similarly successful romantic films join in one mega mushy film about renewed love. Well, it is bound to happen as this is the main plot of this film. In a country where divorce is an easy choice when things go out of hand in marriages, a couple dared to fulfill their vows after a tragedy that can destroy a partners heart.



Although I have seen such exact same storyline as this film has, there is this certain magic in this trailer. Maybe it is Rachel McAdams for being so lovely, and girls/women may prefer Channing Tatum, but the chemistry they have onscreen is convincing. Although this looks pretty predictable, it is the journey to get to that much awaited conclusion is what this film or any other chick flick is cashing on. Hope you won't go deeper in researching about this film because you might uncover the true story which inspired this film which I obviously did. It will spoil you of it but believe me when I say that it is one great story which really happened in real life. As a guy, this is a nice date film as well. Hopefully guys can sit through this entire film without killing themselves in sheer mushiness. For girls and romantics out there, this is a chick flick to catch.

Hollywood has brought us various reiterations of how an alien invasion might happen, but they usually involve some solid and visible threat that everyone might easily fight back or be afraid of, but The Darkest Hour takes a fresh take on it. Aliens will never go away. Just when you thought that you have seen it all, comes a new film that somehow gives it a fresh take. At least that is what The Darkest Hour official film trailer tries to showcase. Did it work? In a way, YES!



Well at least we are given a fresh perspective on an Alien invasion, a Russian one. But do not mistake this as a Russian film, the setting is only in Russia, but the main survivors (protagonists) speaks the international language. The trailer has teased film fans enough to make them go see how will the world survive an invasion from alien energy-devouring light orbs. Upon seeing the trailer one can also ask if to whether these light orbs are indeed formless energy-devouring lights or there are some diabolical alien creature using this as a shield. The mystery of finding out about this is will drive people to watch this. The Darkest Hour gets a nice recommendation for CMAQUEST, as this is now on my "to watch" list.

The Hunger Games is a 2012 film adaptation of the popular science fiction action drama book series of the same title from the creative mind of Suzanne Collins. Since some of the most popular novels have already been made to film and others have successfully finished its film franchise, it is now time for The Hunger Games to take the spotlight. A couple of weeks back, we reviewed the first teaser trailer for The Hunger Games and what promise it holds. Finally the official trailer for The Hunger Games is finally out and here is the our trailer review for The Hunger Games.



In a post-apocalyptic distant future where the world would rather sacrificed a number children or teenagers to avoid countless of lives wasted in wars, comes the general plot of this film. Fans of the books may probably know the workings of this novel inside-out, but if the film wants to build up a hype and attract more film fans, the marketing team has got to make some pretty interesting trailer and that is what the Hunger Games official trailer has pulled off. Engaging musical scoring... check!; a pretty and good actors playing on it... check!; showing the core concept of the film without spoiling to much... check!. So it got everything covered for a good trailer. This is really shaping up to be a good film series with competitive acting, drama and action elements. I haven't read the books but it has given me the impression that it will be a good film, if not a good movie adaptation of the similarly popular novel.

Safe House Trailer Impressions: A High Octane Espionage Action Film Starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds

Safe House is an action film slated for a February 2012 release starring "The" Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. That first statement is already enough to reel you in and watch what Safe House is All about. Let's all sink our teeth on it now shall we?

Washington plays the most dangerous renegade from the CIA, who comes back onto the grid after a decade on the run. When the South African safe house he's remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative (Reynolds) escapes with him. Now, the unlikely allies must stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead.

For the past year, Matt Weston has been frustrated by his inactive, backwater post in Cape Town. A "housekeeper" who aspires to be a full-fledged agent, the loyal company man has been waiting for an opportunity to prove himself. When the first and only occupant he's had proves to be the most dangerous man he's ever met, Weston readies for duty.

Tobin Frost has eluded capture for almost a decade. One of the best ops men that the CIA's known, the ex-intelligence officer has given up assets and sold military intel to anyone with cash since he turned. From trading secrets to North Korea to aiding splinter cells, the damage he's done to the U.S. is immeasurable. And he's now back on the reservation with a secret.

As soon as Frost is brought in for debriefing, mercenaries come and tear apart Weston's safe house. Barely escaping, the unlikely partners must discover if their attackers have been sent by terrorists or someone on the inside who will kill anyone standing in the way. Now it's up to Weston to figure out who he can trust before they're both eliminated from the game.

It has been a while since we've last seen Denzel Washington do what he does best, superb acting on an action film. After two years, he is finally back with a new espionage film together with a more contemporary actor Ryan Reynolds. This might be another espionage themed film but what will probably make film fans excited is the Denzel-Ryan team up.



Well for the trailer I say it summarizes the entire film in it. Most cases I consider it to be a big taboo but this is an exception to action films. What attracts action film fans are the car chases, fighting sequences, and the conspiracy and the plot of who is behind it all. Seeing both great actors sharing the same screen is already a fans dream come true, but besides that what makes this a promising film is the superb acting and the interesting plot. What will happen to Reynolds character who finally gets what he wished for with so many things added to the mix? What is this secret that Denzel's character know that made him surrender after years of hiding? That is what the general hype that this film is cashing on and it works. This is definitely on my list of the most anticipated film for 2012.

Snow White and the Huntsman Trailer Impressions: All Hail the Queen?

Snow White and the Huntsman is a very promising fantasy adventure film with a fresh, more grittier ad darker take on the beloved children's classic, the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Slated for a June 2012 release, will Snow White and the Huntsman, another darker Hollywood take on an acclaimed fairy tale be a good one or not? Let's find out.

Sam Claflin joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power. The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

There have been various film incarnations of the fairy tale of Snow White but that didn't stopped Hollywood from making another one. This time, a fresh new take on the story of the girl whose skin is as white as snow gets a fresh new darker take in the same sense as Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Red Riding Hood (2011). Catering more on the adult market such films have so much expectations and so much to loose. What does the trailer say about this darker film based on a fairy tale?



Right off the bat, let me say that this trailer looks promising. Who would have thought that "that" seemingly awkward female protagonist from that indescribable film (not in a good way) called Twilight, would actually be even considered as the fairest of them all. Well hopefully we don't get that awkward acting on this film. Glad it is not just her but the Mighty ehr... Huntsman is in it as well. So we know that the action part is already covered. And then we have Miss Charlize Theron! We know how wicked that witch is (well in the story), but this time Charlize gives her a whole lot more justice by making her as bad to the bones. We already know what will happen to this story but the journey going towards that finale is what picques people's curiosity. Besides the "Tron: Legacy"-ish type of sound playing on the background and that Kristen Stewart. I have nothing else to complain about Snow White and the Huntsman.
