This latest Spider-Man game came from the same team that brought us Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time so you might have an idea of what they game might possibly look and feel like. The big question is will their latest Spider-Man game be an improvement of the studio's first two Spidey game or will it have the exact same flaws as the first two.

Thanks to the popularity of the Batman Arkham games, gamers standards and taste when it comes to superhero video games have been cranked up on an extreme level. There have been a plethora of Spider-Man video games but so far none have come close to perfection as what the Batman Arkham game series had accomplish. With that, there is really a high expectation both with the film and video game under The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. With a more darker tone, hopefully it will be the Spider-Man that everyone has been waiting for.

Ultimate Spider-Man or Ultimate Spider-Man The Animated Series is a new American television animated series based on Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's Marvel superhero character (icon) Spider-Man. Ultimate Spider-Man is written and produced by Brian Bendis, a primary architect of the Ultimate Marvel Universe who also launched Ultimate Spider-Man back in 2001, alongside Paul Dini, and Man of Action (Steven T. Seagle, Joe Kelly, Joe Casey, and Duncan Rouleau), creators of the animated series Ben 10 and Generator Rex. With such big names working on this latest reiteration of the Spider-Man animated series, will this Ultimate Spider-Man be the first successful animated series under the Marvel and Disney merger?

Ultimate Spider-Man Television Trailer Review

I may not be the biggest fan of the look of this new Spider-Man animated series, but if there is something that I've learned is that to never judge a book by its cover. The same happened to me with Spectacular Spider-Man. For someone who grew up watching the 90's Spider-Man the Animated series, Spectacular Spider-Man's look was a lot "simpler" compared to its predecessor, but with great story, character build-up and progression, not to mention kick-ass fight scenes and gathering of Spider-Man's villains in one point of the show, Spectacular Spider-Man became one of my one of my favorite modern animated series, sadly it got cancelled. The latest animated series which will premiere on Disney XD on April 1, 2012 (April Fools?) has that same strange look but it still deserve some benefit of doubt. It might have the same epic scope in terms of storytelling like what Spectacular had.

Although I gave it this benefit of doubt, I still can't help but to feel something bad about the series. Maybe it is how this trailer is presented. It is feels too light, so for the kids. Well, I know the adults are not the primary market of such superhero series but kids nowadays aren't that innocent either. They are more intelligent and can understand a more edgier and darker themed animated series. Hopefully the Ultimate Spider-Man has more to offer than its misleading "wholesome" and kid-friendly feel as shown in the trailer. And Disney XD April 1, its like an experiment from Marvel and Disney? Hopefully they won't say in the future when it gets cancelled... "That is exactly why we put it on an April Fools debut, to make a foll out of Spider-Man" or something like that.

The Amazing Spider-Man Film Trailer Review

The Amazing Spider-Man Official trailer seems to do what fans familiar to the series have always dreamed of, a somewhat loyal to its comics root film adaptation of Spider-Man. Some film fans were a bit skeptic at first when they heard that Hollywood is doing another reboot of the first Spider-Man film franchise (2002-2007) popularized by director Sam Raimi and actors Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson. But after seeing The Amazing Spider-Man official trailer, this second attempt on the spider-Man film franchise is starting to

look pretty rad.

There are certain things to love and hate with the Raimi Trilogy Spider-Man film franchise. Particular things some familiar with the super hero series and critics alike questioned include the major alteration of the original Spider-Man lore: Miscasting characters from Mary Jane Watson being Peter's first love interest rather than Gwen Stacey to Gwen being just another office fling; and the injustice done (debatable) on the Spider-Man villain Venom on the last title in the Raimi's film trilogy. Some aspects that movie goers like on Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy were the various epic action moments of the film, superb character build up for Doctor Octopus, the original Spider-Man costume used in the film, and the actual concept of a Spider-Man film itself. But its 2012, and a different production team is behind that, so what does this new film franchise under Marc Webb has potentially in store for us this Summer of 2012?

Ben Parker is pretty much alive on this Spider-Man film reboot. The Amazing Spider-Man trailer hints that this is more about Peter's mysterious parents, his first year as the masked vigilante (because that is what Spider-Man really is), and his first romantic relationship with Gwen Stacy who happens to be the daughter of the the police out to get Spider-Man. All the elements of a right Spider-Man movie seems to be in this film. I am happy that Hollywood has learned from the mistakes of the first series and started to listen to what fans and film goers might actually like in a spider-Man film. This Spider-Man film is darker and has a more brooding Nolan Batman film feel to it, and I am fine with that. The amazing Spider-Man even pokes fun of the fact that Spider-Man wears a skin tight red and blue suit but still manages to kick some criminal and police butts.

Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2012 reboot's first film villain is The Lizard. Growing up with the 90's Spider-Man the animated series, I can somewhat say that the film probably will stay true to Dr. Curt Connors (The Lizard) character of being a friend and potential mentor to Peter Parker but will later turned savage no thanks to the genetic alteration caused by The Lizard serum. But it seems like they are adding more to Doc Connors character by associating him with Peter's parents who mysteriously left him in the care of his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. To what the connections all are makes The Amazing Spider-Man a must see.

Times are changing, and what people might love r hate with past films might (or might not be) remedied by newer versions. Some films are worth rebooting, while some just need to be left alone, and what of Spider-Man? Well, after seeing this trailer all I can say is that this reboot is very much needed and a welcome addition to the excellent superhero film franchise under Marvel Entertainment.

First Look on Spider-Man 2012 Reboot: Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man Suit and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey

When everyone heard that Spider-Man will be rebooted in 2012, everyone scratched their heads ask as to why. Spanning over three films, who would have thought that the Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man film will be cancelled in favor of a new one. so no more Tobey Maguirte as "Spidey" and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson as they are now replaced by Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the 2012 remake of Spider-man. Another Marvel superhero film can be remembered that experienced such treatment. 2003's Hulk which stars Eric Bana as Bruce Banner/Hulk and directed by Ang Lee received poor reception which is really craving for a reboot which then came to reality on the 2008 with The Incredible Hulk, which then stars Edward Norton as Hulk with the direction of Louis Leterrier.

If you carefully look at the new Spider-man costume you will notice a small metallic object under Spidey's palm (wrist area) which means that the 2012 version of Spider-man uses mechanical web-shooters well to shoot web. It makes a lot more sense as to why Spidey needs to fold his middle or both his middle and the ring finger in order to shoot web. Whether it a genuine idea or just wanting to deviate from the Raimi's version of Spider-man this is a nice revision to the 2012 Spider-man film. Another change that the reboot will feature is the back to high school setting of this new franchise. The 2012 Spider-man reboot would also focus more on Peter Parker's first love, Gwen Stacy. An injustice was done to Gwen Stacy's character in the third and last Raimi Spider-man film so hopefully this will be the reboot's edge over its predecessor. The film also feature The Lizard as its main villain.

Would all these changes be enough to keep the Spider-man film series from falling apart? Hopefully the film would be accompanied by better story telling, production, acting, and loyalty to its form (Marvel comics) in terms of the characters for movie goers to have no complaints in seeing another Spider-man origin story.

Premise

Madame Web calls on four versions of Spider-Man from four realities to assist her in bringing the realities back into balance: the Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir (a 1930s version of Spider-Man), Spider-Man 2099 (the Spider-Man of a possible future), and a symbiote-bonded Ultimate Spider-Man (the Spider-Man of an alternate present). The Spider-Men are informed that villains in their respective universes have received enhanced powers due to the fragments of the tablet in their possession. Each villain possessing a fragment is granted power to accomplish what they desire most: defeating the Spider-Man of their respective universe

The first setting is the well-known Amazing Spider-Man Universe where Spider-Man foild another plot of Mysterio to rob a bank of an ancient artifact known as the Tablet of Order and Chaos. Accidentally the tablet was shattered along the process causing a disturbance on all realities. Madam Web intervenes and informs all four Spider-Man of different realities or dimensions to retrieve the shattered pieces of the tablet. Of course, it won't be easy for the amazing Spider-man as various thugs and goons are scattered all through out the city and some villains who wouldn't stop for nothing to get rid of the friendly neighborhood spider.

Villains in the Amazing Spider-Man universe includes Kraven the Hunter, Sandman, Juggernaut, and Mysterio.



The Spider-Man Noir universe offers a different gameplay mechanic as you take control of a Spider-Man in a 1930's setting where stealth and speed is the best way to approach the evil that lurks the dark steampunk like city. Villains in the Spider-Man Noir universe includes Hammerhead, Vulture, and Goblin (Norman Osborne).



Spider-man 2099 allows you to control Miguel O'Hara in a very fast-phased futuristic city. Also assigned with the retrieval of all the shattered tablet pieces, Spider-man 2099 has been granted the power of accelerated vision which adds up to his already enhanced ability of acrobatics and combat. The villains in the Spider-Man 2099 universe includes Doctor Octopus, Scorpion, and Hobgoblin.



Finally there is the Ultimate Spider-Man universe wearing the black symbiote suit which empowers the alternate modern world Parker with devastating symbiotic spikes and tendrils which also acts like an extension of his body. Villains in the Ultimate Spider-Man universe includes Electro, Deadpool and Carnage.

Spider-man Shattered Dimensions is far from being the perfect Spider-Man game as previous Spider-Man game issues resurface once more which also haunts this game, but so far it is one of the cooler and better Spider-Man games that has been released as of the present compared to its predecessors.
