Konami unveiled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 on the last day of May 2012 before all the game trailers overdose gamers this E3 2012 (Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012). Konami with the help MercurySteam and Kojima Productions has successfully revitalized and transitioned their popular sidescrolling platformer game franchise Castlevania into an action-adventure 3rd person game for the Xbox 350 and the Playstation 3 back at 2010 with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Although a reboot, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow got a fairly positive reception from its old and newer audiences. The 2010 Castlevania reboot may have looked like another God of War clone, but it can't be deny that it still has the same elements that made Castlevania Castlevania.

Classic Castlevania gamers are treated with another take, a new origin story of the main antagonist in the series. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow followed the tragic tale of Gabriel Belmont. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 picks up where Castlevania: Lords of Shadow's "Resurrection" DLC drops off. The trailer seems to imply that Gabriel now known as Dracula is more of a menace than a savior as he face off with battle-born knights, but having the sinister and diabolical power of the Forgotten One in him he easily sweep off these warriors... until one seemingly familiar character is the only one left to challenge him. Most Castlevania fans speculate that this mysterious character is Alucard (Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes), the son of Dracula from Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Castlevania Legends, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Judgment. Although it might be a treat to see another familiar character in the Castlevania reboot for the seventh generation consoles, fans should take this teaser trailer with a grain of salt. Alucard may or may not be a playable character in the game, not to mention the mysterious character might not even be Alucard himself. Still this is a decent trailer and if you played or wanted more from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (2010) then you'll definitely would want to get your hands on this sequel.

Dark Shadows Trailer Impressions: Epic Conflict Between a 200 Year Old Vampire and His Bitter Ex of a Witch

Dark Shadows is a 2012 supernatural drama comedy film based on the 1966–1971 gothic soap opera of the same name. The film is directed by Tim Burton and stars Johnny Depp as the iconic Barnabas Collins, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Grace Moretz and Bella Heathcote. In 1752, the Collins family sails from Liverpool, England to North America. The son, Barnabas, grows up to be a wealthy playboy in Collinsport, Maine and is the master of Collinwood Manor. Fast forward to 200 years (1972), Barnabas is accidentally freed from his coffin and returns to find his once-magnificent manor in ruin. Now occupied by dysfunctional Collins descendants and other residents, Barnabas struggles catching up with time and dealing with the witch who cursed him who still is eventually still is into him.

Director by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp both admit to be fans of the original television soap, so there is hope that this would be the perfect and loyal film adaptation of that cult classic television show, right? Well, no! According to MTV, Tim Burton has opted "for gonzo comedy that should please many but may rile fans of the original soap opera."

As for someone who have never been exposed to such old gothic series, nor interested (that much) to goth themed shows in general, seeing the trailer alone is more than enough to excite me. The Dark Shadows' trailer looks hilarious and the right sort of weirdness expected from a Tim Burton and Johnny Depp film. I for one am hyped up for this film and will definitely see this once it hits the theaters this May 2012.

So another film adapted from the a novel which feature a Gothic theme, teenagers, and vampires. Hopefully it is more to THAT other popular yet horrendous teenage vampire flick. Well the mystery in this trailer (and probably on the actual film itself) is probably the film's selling point. Categorized under horror, we can guarantee that there is a supernatural force providing the scares in the film, but is it really that goth girl who's behind all of this? That is the question.

The trailer tells what the plot is all about but effectively teases us with the question is Ernessa a vampire or not? What is her part in all of the mysterious events that appears in the film (trailer)? Not really hyped up with this, but if you are into this teenage vampire stuff, mystery and some "handsome" characters, then this film might be for you.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is 2012 supernatural thriller film based on a 2010 novel Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith. This "what if" fictional supernatural horror film adaptation of the mashup novel gained mixed reviews back on 2010. The film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith which is slated for a June 2012 theatrical release plays with the idea that the historical American icon and 16th President of the United States was a vampire hunter. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Film Trailer Review

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has a pretty interesting yet crazy theme. Hopefully Americans won't take this film too seriously in a sense that they would find it insulting to see the country's greatest historical icon behind the abolition of slave trade and a symbol of equality as a vampire hunter.

I personally think this is fresh. I like "what-if" scenarios done right. Reading the summary of the novel which already spoiled the film for me, all I can say is that amidst the film's seemingly absurd and preposterous concept, the film hopefully would be as entertaining as the novel it is based from. I am optimistic that this film will be a good one and will be putting this under my watch-list this 2012.
