So another film adapted from the a novel which feature a Gothic theme, teenagers, and vampires. Hopefully it is more to THAT other popular yet horrendous teenage vampire flick. Well the mystery in this trailer (and probably on the actual film itself) is probably the film's selling point. Categorized under horror, we can guarantee that there is a supernatural force providing the scares in the film, but is it really that goth girl who's behind all of this? That is the question.

The trailer tells what the plot is all about but effectively teases us with the question is Ernessa a vampire or not? What is her part in all of the mysterious events that appears in the film (trailer)? Not really hyped up with this, but if you are into this teenage vampire stuff, mystery and some "handsome" characters, then this film might be for you.

Watching the clock tick down to an unknown catastrophe, Jeremy is forced by his captors to listen to the outside world on the brink of collapse, knowing that the only way to save the people he loves is to divulge a secret that he has sworn to protect.

Brake Film Trailer Review

Nothing seems to be original anymore. Almost everything has already been conceived and executed. This holds especially true with films. But what must a movie do to somehow get away from the looming shadow of a previous film that it draws inspiration from? The answer is to make it their own by adding new plot twist and more action.



Brake reminded me of 2010's Buried. Both the main protagonists wakes up in a claustrophobic location with little means to connect to outside, then the plot later unveils itself. Although the two filmsmight have the same ideas, they are definitely two different films. Brake is more of an action espionage film which can be seen in the trailer. Besides trying to get out from his captivity which the trailer spoiled, the big question is will the protagonist chose his loved ones or his duty as an agent for the government? With those questions plus a seemingly new take from a familiar scenario, I think that Brake is probably worth of checking out.

Perfect Sense, formerly known as The Last Word is a 2011 drama film which first premiered in Sundance Film Festival 2011 and is slated for a February 2012 US release. Perfect Sense Film Trailer Review

Perfect Sense is one of those films that asks the question "can love conquer all?". The answer is of course it does as shown in countless of films ever known to mankind. This time the question is asked in a pandemic setting. What if all of the basic senses that made you appreciate ad fall in love with someone starts disappearing one by one, can love still endure?


That is what this film is all about. Categorize more as a drama than a romantic film (and I can understand why), the Perfect Sense movie trailer evokes a sense melancholy. Just look at those two madly in love people thrown in a seemingly world ending pandemic crisis. Basing from the trailer, one can say that it does succeed conveying the message over and may make people interested as to how their seemingly tragic love story may conclude. Not everyone can avail or has the opportunity to see a film in its Sundance Film Festival premiere, so one can all do is wait for an international (US) release. If you ask me, I am interested to see this one.
