Marvel's Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes United Film Trailer Review

Marvel recently announced in the New York Comic-Con 2012 (NYCC 2012) a new Avengers spin-off movie featuring only The Hulk and Iron Man with Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes United. It is very obvious from the trailer that the film uses the likeliness of the Iron Man and the Hulk in the 2012 hit The Avengers live action film. Unfortunately it didn't feature the same actors to voice Hulk and Iron man, but it is just a minor set back for this cell-shaded animated film.

Although there hasn't been any official plot revealed, it doesn't take a genius to come up one thanks to this trailer. Iron Man's facilities has been compromised and it is up to him and the Hulk to control the situation caused by an infiltration of one of Iron Man's adversaries. Hopefully they can explain as to why the other Avengers are missing in action to justify the team-up. Of course the real threat of this is the Hulk Buster which can stand up against with the Hulk, but we obviously know what will happen on this clash. What we are curious with is how will they get to that epic conclusion. Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes United is set to be released on April 2013.

Ultimate Spider-Man The Animated Series Trailer Impressions: From Spectacular to Ultimate...?

Ultimate Spider-Man or Ultimate Spider-Man The Animated Series is a new American television animated series based on Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's Marvel superhero character (icon) Spider-Man. Ultimate Spider-Man is written and produced by Brian Bendis, a primary architect of the Ultimate Marvel Universe who also launched Ultimate Spider-Man back in 2001, alongside Paul Dini, and Man of Action (Steven T. Seagle, Joe Kelly, Joe Casey, and Duncan Rouleau), creators of the animated series Ben 10 and Generator Rex. With such big names working on this latest reiteration of the Spider-Man animated series, will this Ultimate Spider-Man be the first successful animated series under the Marvel and Disney merger?

Plot / Synopsis

Peter Parker assumed the guise of Spider-Man for almost a year. Still in the process of learning how to become a superhero, Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. offers Peter Parker the chance to train to become a real superhero, "The Ultimate Spider-Man". However, Peter will need to first learn how to work with a team of four fellow teenage superheroes like Nova, White Tiger, Iron Fist, and Power Man.

Ultimate Spider-Man Television Trailer Review

I may not be the biggest fan of the look of this new Spider-Man animated series, but if there is something that I've learned is that to never judge a book by its cover. The same happened to me with Spectacular Spider-Man. For someone who grew up watching the 90's Spider-Man the Animated series, Spectacular Spider-Man's look was a lot "simpler" compared to its predecessor, but with great story, character build-up and progression, not to mention kick-ass fight scenes and gathering of Spider-Man's villains in one point of the show, Spectacular Spider-Man became one of my one of my favorite modern animated series, sadly it got cancelled. The latest animated series which will premiere on Disney XD on April 1, 2012 (April Fools?) has that same strange look but it still deserve some benefit of doubt. It might have the same epic scope in terms of storytelling like what Spectacular had.

Although I gave it this benefit of doubt, I still can't help but to feel something bad about the series. Maybe it is how this trailer is presented. It is feels too light, so for the kids. Well, I know the adults are not the primary market of such superhero series but kids nowadays aren't that innocent either. They are more intelligent and can understand a more edgier and darker themed animated series. Hopefully the Ultimate Spider-Man has more to offer than its misleading "wholesome" and kid-friendly feel as shown in the trailer. And Disney XD April 1, its like an experiment from Marvel and Disney? Hopefully they won't say in the future when it gets cancelled... "That is exactly why we put it on an April Fools debut, to make a foll out of Spider-Man" or something like that.

Planet Hulk - A 2010 Direct-to-Video Animated Movie Hulk

The big green mean and almost unstoppable fighting machine comes back with the latest comic book to direct-to-video animated movie adaptation of Marvel's popular icon, Hulk. After Hulk Versus direct-to-video animated movie comes another animation from Marvel Animation and Lionsgate, Planet Hulk.





To loyal followers of the Hulk Marvel comics series, the Planet Hulk title is nothing new to them, a comics series under the same title ran under The Incredible Hulk comics series back in 2006. The animated movie adaptation is probably what everyone is waiting for so before February 2010, here is the Planet Hulk Trailer:

Marvel Super Hero Squad - Reintroducing the World of Marvel to Kids

The Marvel Universe is a complex world of super heroes and super villains which have been re-imagined, rendered, retold many times and the latest trend is the cross-over and team up of different characters from their own titles to one plot. This can be noticed especially in the rich history and industry of Marvel Comics. House of M, Civil War, and Secret Invasion are some of the many titles (plot) where different characters from the Marvel Universe fought together or each other.



The Marvel Universe Characters

The newer generation has little knowledge or probably less enthusiastic about the Marvel Universe, the comics and its origins. This is one of the reasons why they came up with Marvel Super Hero Squad, an upcomming television animation targeted for a much younger audience (and the young at heart).

Marvel SuperHero Squad is a comedic show featuring caricatured versions of favorite Marvel Icons such as Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Fantsatic Four and many more.
