Captain America: The First Avenger Trailer 2 Impressions

2011 is shaping up pretty well for Marvel fans, as they are presented with two decent superhero movie adaptations. First was with Thor and now with Captain America: The First Avenger this July. There is already been a trailer for Captain America but we will be focusing more on Captain America: The First Avenger trailer 2. Here is my impressions of it.

Captain America: The First Avenger
Plot

In 1942, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is deemed physically unfit to enlist in the U.S. Army and fight the Nazis in World War II. Volunteering instead for Project: Rebirth, a secret military operation, he is physically transformed into a super-soldier dubbed Captain America. With sidekick Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), he fights the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), Hitler's treacherous head of advanced weaponry, whose own plan for world domination involves a seemingly magical object known as the Tesseract.

It is basically another origin movie basing on the film and I am just fine with that. How can you establish a hero without knowing his origins first. Expect a lot of a classic 1940's set up on the film as it is both a period film and a superhero film rolled into one. Hopefully the humor and the plot isn't so much dated. Although we already know that it also concerns about the "cosmic cube" which is is foreground from the Thor's after credits. I also believe that it will also be the main element in the upcoming avengers film.

The trailer looks promising. Another summer blockbuster film from Marvel whether it sucks or not, expect people to flock the theaters this July 2011. How about you guys, what do you think about this trailer. Share your thoughts at the comments section below:

A real good horror trailer teases the senses of potential film audience to see the film in theaters. Although "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" does that, it fails to keep one important element, the creatures. They obviously showed what the creatures looks like in this film. Here is what I am talking about.

don't be afraid of the dark 2011 American horror film by guillermo del toro

It is no Nightmare on Elm Street with Freddie, Child's Play with Chucky, or even Aliens with the Aliens. These sort of movies should reserved the big reveal on the actual film itself, but this trailer doesn't. What will make movie audience go see it is what intentions do these demons have and how will the story progress. Even with such minor trailer gripes, the Don't Be Afraid of the Dark Trailer is pretty good and is probably worth checking out when it hits the theaters especially if you are a horror film fan.

Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda Review: Bring Home the First Tale of Awesomeness

Dreamworks first released Kung Fu Panda back in 2008 and since then it won the hearts of many kids and "kids at heart" alike. It is no wonder that Dreamworks made a sequel of equal (if not greater) caliber. Let's take a look back on Kung Panda.

Kung Fu Panda, set on a fictional ancient China where arthromorphic animals lived follows the story of a very unlikely protagonist named Po, a panda. Po, voiced by Jack Black dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master himself just like his idols, the Furious Five: Crane (David Cross), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Monkey (Jackie Chan), Tigress (Angelina Jolie), and Viper (Lucy Liu). The furious five protects the Valley of Peace using Kung Fu with the help of their Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). Po was ecstatic to hear that a tournament amongst the Furious Five will be held to see who is rightful to received the dragon scroll - a scroll of limitless power and become the legendary Dragon Warrior. Po eventually got the chance to witnss the coronation but he has to be a sell noodles while he is at it. Po's father is a goose named Mr. Ping voiced by James Hong. Po wasn't able to enter the arena because but eventually found a way to do so. The unlikely panda was accidentally chosen to be the Dragon Warrior by the elderly tortoise Master Oogway which shocked everyone, even Po himself... But is it really an accident?

Kung Fu Panda is an animated 3-D family film that mixes various movie genre in all the right way. Some animated films makes are just catered for kids, but Kung Fu Panda is different. Adults alike will find it very entertaining, an actually good film for the entire family. If you missed out the opportunity to see the first Kung Fu Panda or curious about this great animated film series from Dreamworks, then why not bring home the awesomeness with Kung Fu Panda and See how the clumsy overweight panda became the "dragon warrior". The journey to awesomeness is already enough but it doesn't stop there as additional features are available on DVD.
