It was only a matter of time before the Paranormal Activity gets parodied in a similar way as how the Scary Movie did it and that is what 2013 has in store for us with A Haunted House starring Marlon Wayans. This time we'll be thrown in the found footage set universe of The Paranormal Activity gone nuts, but is it any good?

What else do you expect from a Wayan Brothers film parody? If you have seen other film parodies this two brothers either starred, written, or produced by then you have a good idea on what A Haunted House has in store for you. Looking for a deep moving and plot-driven film, then sorry your princess is in another castle as this has always been the signature feel of parody films. I just find it hilarious to look at familiar scenes from some of the most engaging contemporary horror flicks bastardized by another parody film. I'm just glad that this film will not entirely be presented in a P.O.V. perspective. That was the biggest concern I had at the start of watching the trailer. Luckily it is just a part of the entirety of the film. Although not really new, I liked at how the film focused on these two good policemen who got into a big mess because they simply did their jobs.

I'd buy the drama of this film as it is the real dangers that some of our valiant men in uniforms are facing. The sad part about it that in order for some policemen to preserve their jobs, family and life, they turn a blind eye on the crooks that plague the society, the various drug cartels. Well, the film does show what will happen if ever one does decide to bust them out. I am interested the "real" life drama of the protagonists of this film will have and will it have a good or tragic end?

Silent Hill is back and just like a more video game based movie adaptation (Resident Evil) it is going to be in 3-D as well. Silent Hill: Revelations 3D first made its debut on the San Diego Comic-Con 2012 with a scene featuring the Silent Hill Nurse.

Finally after 6 years, Hollywood has decided to take another shot with Silent Hill. I just don't know how to feel with films going 3-D nowadays, hopefully this Silent Hill sequel has something more to offer than the eye-popping 3-D and the extra bucks that goes with this theatrical effect. Well it is nice to see some iconic scenes and characters from the Silent Hill universe like Pyramid Head, the nurses and the actual town itself but hopefully there is more genuine scares and an actually good (not a carbon copy of the video games) story that weaves all of the scares and effects together. Well, let's keep our fingers crossed on this video game based movie, and hopefully it doesn't suck like any other video games that come before it.

Silent House Film Trailer Review

The original film received mixed reviews, mainly being praised for the director's technical excellence in doing the film in one shot, but was criticized for an unimpressive story. Well, its now Hollywood's turn to take a shot of a film shot in one continuous take. But before actual film on March 2012, let's talk about the trailer.



As a horror film enthusiast, I find the Silent House 2012 official movie trailer to be pretty intriguing and effective. It gives off this pretty creepy feeling, and if the trailer gives off that kind of lingering feeling, then what more is the actual film. Well, I might be wrong, but still i am hopeful that the actual film is far better than its movie trailer. Then I am intrigued at how they are going to pull off a convincingly scary horror film in a film shot in one choreographed take. I will definitely monitor and watch this film for the sake of curiosity. Is it going to be a straight out supernatural horror, or there is more to this silent house than darkness and screaming.
